After September 11th and the subsequent anthrax
attacks, we have become concerned of a potential large-scale issue.
At the risk of sounding like an alarmist it is important that we
all take a moment to reflect on how, if at all, we are vulnerable
to a terrorist attack. With these issues growing in intensity daily,
it is prudent to assess the way we currently operate our facilities.
After attending the security summit in Baltimore
with members of Homeland Security, reports and warnings point to
the possibility of a bio-chemical terrorist attack using the air
duct distribution system to inflict mass destruction within our
buildings. Main Enterprises, Inc., is taking this threat very seriously.
The following steps are being implemented by our firm to provide
a higher level of security and protection:

We have designed and developed the “SE-EL” system,
which is an acronym for September 11th. This system is designed
to provide a first line of protection against the introduction
and distribution of destructive agents by way of the HVAC system.
With the installation of our fast acting duct closure devices
placed in strategic locations and employedby use of special
monitoring and pull stations, our system prevents the transmission
of the contaminant. The SE-EL system also notifiesemergency
personnel and identifies the faulted area for the safety of
first responders.

All our employees will have company picture identification
cards. This will ensure that the people working on your air
systems are employed by our company. This ensures that only
authorized personnel will be working in and around your distribution
systems.

All of our in-house designs will provide for, when possible,
any exterior air inlet ducts to be in secured areas.

Our engineering staff is providing a consulting service to
identify the vulnerable areas where an intentional or accidental
introduction of anthrax or any bio-chemical attack can enter
your building through theair duct system. Along these lines
we can design and implement our latest technology for the protection
of you and your tenants, occupants or employees.
Since 1919, Main
