Geothermal energy has many benefits. According to the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA), geothermal is an extremely quiet system that could simultaneously heat and cool different parts of the same building. Similar to a traditional HVAC system, multiple zones could be set up with individual room controls. Piping used for geothermal have a 50-year warranty, while the ground source heat exchanger is maintenance-free and could last more than 40 years. In the summer, water is heated with waste heat from air conditioning which elicits free hot water and substantial savings in the winter. Costs for geothermal systems are competitive on initial cost and have a lower lifecycle cost than most HVAC systems.

Main Enterprises has IGSHPA Accredited Installers on staff who have the capability to determine whether geothermal is a viable option for the customer, fully design and install a geothermal system, as well as determine all applicable tax, utility and state incentives and rebates that are available to offset the initial cost of the system and determine a return on investment.
